Karen Palmer enjoys working with customers of all ages, backgrounds and cultures. Her goal is to help customers gain the knowledge and skills needed to modify their behavior to successfully manage their health conditions. She is very gratified to see customers be successful, knowing that she had a hand in helping them achieve optimal health and a better quality of life.

As a registered dietitian, nutritionist and licensed dietitian, Karen focuses on the philosophy of realism, where the ability to consume all or most foods is advised with limits on portion sizes and frequency.

Dr. Levine’s philosophy in healthcare is that no single treatment approach is applicable to all customers. He believes that therapy must be individualized in order to yield the best outcomes. He also believes in the power of education and hopes that after every encounter his customers have a greater understanding of their disease and the rationale for therapy.

Dr. Levine enjoys all of the complexities of hematology and oncology and has specific interests in the treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies, hepatobiliary and pancreas cancers, as well as lymphoma and malignancies of the bone marrow.

During his fellowship training, Dr. Levine worked in the departments of chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Minnesota where his project focused on the development of a series of novel molecules for the treatment of cancer. The synthetic strategies of these compounds, in addition to their potent anti-cancer properties, have been published in peer-reviewed journals. Shortly after he completed his fellowship training, these compounds were patented.

Julie Kline is a Family Nurse Practitioner who obtained her doctoral degree and began with the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery service at North Memorial in 2014. She is currently in private practice at MN Oral and Facial Surgery with affiliations at North Memorial Health and the University of Minnesota Hospital systems. Her background as a nurse includes 15 years in Emergency Medicine and almost 10 years as a Flight nurse. 

She is the founder of the Head & Neck Cancer Support Group in Minneapolis in 2016. She has developed a strong interest in patients with head and neck cancer and helps them and their families navigate through their diagnosis and treatment. She serves on several committees for the Minnesota Department of Health including the HPV Strategic Action Team and Oral Health Committee.
