The 2021 AAOMS Annual Meeting took place a few weeks ago in Nashville, TN. Clinical tracks, hands-on courses, Master Classes and other educational sessions were held and touched on the theme of Ensuring the Future of Maxillofacial Surgery through Wellness and Diversity.
Our own Dr. Kademani was proud to receive the 2020 Committee Person of Year Award! He also delivered several lectures and moderated plenary sessions on pathology oncology, and reconstructive surgery.
Held in conjunction with the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (CAOMS), the Annual Meeting offered a variety of reasons – from educational and social to professional – for OMSs and their staff to attend including 12 tracks over two days covering the entire OMS scope of practice:
- Dental implants
- Head and neck
- Pediatrics and cleft
There were expert speakers will present the latest research and practice in two-hour plenary sessions before a Q&A session. New this year, each track also will include a one-hour Hot-off-the-press Session featuring additional speakers discussing a JOMS article published in 2021. Oral abstracts are a new component of the tracks, and additional abstracts will be available on-demand.
