Registration now open for both events hosted by Head and Neck Cancer Foundation
The Head and Neck Cancer Foundation will host its fifth annual Head and Neck Cancer Run/Walk, a community event seeking to unite all people impacted by head and neck cancers. Money raised at the run/walk will continue to support the foundation’s efforts towards early detection and life-saving initiatives. Whether participants are cancer survivors, patients, providers, students, volunteers, families or friends, all are invited to honor loved ones, raise funds and increase awareness about these cancers.
DATE: May 17, 2026
TIME: 8:30 a.m. (arrive at 8 a.m.)
WHERE: Thomas Beach on Lake Bde Maka Ska (3751 West Bde Maka Ska Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55416).
REGISTRATION: Open on the Head and Neck Cancer Foundation website and costs $25 per person.
For those wanting to show their support out on the links, the Head and Neck Cancer Foundation’s third annual Heads Up! Golf Tournament.
DATE: June 29, 2026
TIME: Shot gun start at 1:00 p.m.
WHERE: The tournament is hosted at Rush Creek Golf Course in Maple Grove (7801 County Rd 101, Maple Grove, MN 55311).
REGISTRATION: Sign up as an individual or as a four-person team on the Head and Neck Cancer Foundation website. Individual registration costs $350 per person and teams of four cost $1,400 per team.
Head and neck cancer ranks number six in the most prevalent cancers in the United States, and roughly 50% of current diagnoses are considered late stage and difficult to treat. Globally, approximately 750,000 people are diagnosed with head and neck cancer annually with 60,000 of those cases in the U.S., resulting in about 9,000 deaths in the U.S alone each year. With an increasing pattern of affecting younger, non-smoker and non-drinker patients each year, the Head and Neck Cancer Foundation encourages everyone to get screened.
