Meet Kami Misra
Kami Misra FNP-C, BSN-RN, is a family nurse practitioner, she has been residing in Rochester Minnesota for the past 21 years. Kami is originally from Guyana South America. Kami graduated from nursing school and moved to Nashville, where she worked at Vanderbilt medical center in Cardiology. Subsequently, decided to become a travel nurse so that she could see the country and exploring the culture of different states.
During Kami travel assignment as a cardiology nurse, she met her husband at John’s Hopkins in Baltimore MD. After a year, they were married and moved to Rochester Mn June 2000. She went back to college to and earned her Masters Degree in Nursing with distinctions. She is board certified in Family Practice. Because of her background in cardiology, she has a passion for helping patients with metabolic syndrome. Kami is also trained in aesthetics and loves to help patients feel better by managing health wellness and aesthetics. She is available by appointment for consultation in preventative medicine.
Kami is an active member of several professional organizations including. She past President of The Alice Mayo Society Mayo Clinic. Current member of American Heart Association, American College of Nurse Practitioners; Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.
Kami enjoys entertaining, traveling, wine tasting, and practicing yoga. She lives a plant-based lifestyle and love to cook East Indian and Mediterranean inspired cuisine. Together her and her husband have three children two boys and one girl.
