Dentures rest directly on the bony ridge in your mouth, and it is crucial for this foundation to be the appropriate shape and size for a proper fit. When teeth have been extracted or if the bone anatomy is irregular, additional procedures may be necessary. Commonly, sharp or uneven bone ridges may need to be smoothed or reshaped.
