June 29th Golf Tournament Event at the Rush Creek Golf Club, Hosted by the Head and Neck Cancer Foundation.
On June 29th, the Head and Neck Cancer Foundation proudly hosted its third annual Heads Up! Charity Golf Tournament at the Rush Creek Golf Club in Maple Grove. Despite the summer heat, the tournament was an incredible success, made possible by the support of our golfers, sponsors, donors, and volunteers.
It was wonderful to reconnect with familiar friends, welcome new faces, and see so many smiles in support of an important cause. We are incredibly grateful for such a supportive and engaged community.

This event would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. The tournament raised $144,280 to support the Foundation’s programs, including free oral cancer screening events, patient support groups, the “We Fight with You” patient gift program, pathology research, educational initiatives, and other efforts focused on awareness and early detection.
The Foundation is especially grateful to ZimVie and the Horan Family for providing the delicious lunch and barbecue enjoyed throughout the day. We also thank 2nd Swing for providing fantastic prizes that added to the day’s competition.

This year’s tournament featured team awards, custom prizes from 2nd Swing, and a $10,000 hole-in-one challenge! David Erlich, Todd Hambrick, Austin Chromy, and Kaleb Smith claimed first place, while Clint Buckentin, Ryan Norman, Brian Kinney, and Chaz Irrthum finished second. Marcello Napol, Tony Lefebvre, Dan Khoury, and Derrick Brown earned third place.
David Ehrlich won the 2nd Swing custom golf clubs, Tony Lefebvre received the custom driver, and Russel Lawrentz took home the 2nd Swing golf bag. Jim McGuire won the Par 3 contest, Kaleb Smith and Courtney Anderson recorded the longest drives, Jim McGuire and Rochelle Hauser sank the longest putts, and Derrick Brown and Anna Orth hit closest to the pin. The Foundation congratulates all of this year’s winners.

The Head and Neck Cancer Foundation is dedicated to creating opportunities for the public to learn more, get screened, and support early detection efforts. Individuals are encouraged to visit their dentist regularly for screenings, as dentists can help identify abnormalities that may require further attention. Donations to the Foundation help fund future screening events and provide resources for patients.
